Prayer for a new phone

New phone, who art in Android, Galaxy be thy name.

Give me this day my daily texts and forgive me my late replies as I forgive those who reply not to my message.

Let my thoughts and feelings reach their targets, on Slack as it is in Snapchat.

May my screen be free of cracks and my battery stay charged above 15%.

May my contact list be fruitful and multiply.

May devices hide not from my bluetooth scans, and always connect in good faith.

Break not my focus, thy notifications of push, and bother me no more with Facebook updates. Let me post not obsessively, but only with good reason.

Banish from my heart and my mind the FOMO, and let me stray not into the iniquities of comment section arguments.

For those be the trolls, the haters, and the wicked men. May compassion, not outrage, indignance, or vanity guide my thumbs as I type my tweets.

Dwell not on the number of thy following, but on the truth in thy connections. For many are the fakes and the followers, and few are the true influencers.

For yours is the kingdom of likes, shares, and comments. May it always be so.
